We had Jordan, Jason & Kari for the day right after Thanksgiving. We went out for some BW3's and then went bowling. Belle and I hit the race car game pretty hard as well. She loved it! We also met up with Chuck, Leila, Tami & Jeff, as well as popped by my parent's house before leaving Indy.
We had a combination 1st and 8th Birthday party for Isabella and Logan at Christy's house in Indy. It was a beautiful day and lots of fun with our family. Thanks to all of you for coming and to Logan for allowing us to bring lots of pink to his party!
After the fireworks in Indy, we headed up to Lake Shafer for some fun and sun at Tami & Jeff's lakehouse. Belle did great again on the boat. She oddly prefers to go fast and would only whimper some when we slowed down. That's my girl!
Still catching up on good times from this summer. Here are some pics from an awesome fireworks display from Charlie's sister Christy's house. To add to the fireworks, this was also the weekend we announced we were pregnant. Great weekend!
Here's the new gal at 12 Weeks on the left and the excited older gal at around 11 months. At the time of the pic on the left, we hadn't confirmed she was a girl yet. But, now looking back, it is oh so obvious that this is a girl's beer belly.
Charlie's parents came to visit last month and we surprised them with a Civil War train ride up in Lebanon, OH. We were running late and actually were able to get the train to stop to pick us up. Amazing how that worked! It was a beautiful day for a ride with great company.
June 12th was my Dad's retirement party at my sister's house. We had a Jimmy Buffett / Fishing theme going. It was a lot of fun! Top right are Belle and Grandma's hands together. Ethan running around in my shoes (hilarious!) at the bottom and me on someone's motorcycle in the garage (not sure who's that was?).
Above are a few pics of my ladies from back in May. The smaller one really likes hats. Below are some pics from our trip to Tami & Jeff's lake house over Memorial Day weekend. Belle wasn't 100% sold on her life jacket, but she dealt with it and seemed to enjoy zooming around the lake. She'd start to whimper some when we slowed down, but became much happier when Jeff gave it some juice!
Here's Belle taking some of the burden off of mom from having to reach the spoon all the way to her mouth. It was so great to see Belle again after our sabbatical in St. Maarten.
Here are a few more pics of my funny, happy girl, with a couple parental pics sprinkled in. Please try to ignore Isabella talking with her mouth full (with puff still on tongue) in first pic. Also, the fact that my wife dresses her up as a ladybug with hat including antennae should briskly be forgotten.

We went to Indy for Easter back in April. Again, I've fallen a bit behind with our blog, but hope to recoup a more current status soon. A new addition to the Hyde family and our pictures is Alexander (Feb '10) below. Belle is excited to have a new buddy.
We've had some pretty warm days so far this Spring, so we had to take advantage of a shady spot in front of our guest house for a small picnic. As do her parents, Isabella loves to be outside and feel the wind blow.
Here are a few various pics of mom and daughter, plus our first Isabella assisted (by couch) standing picture. For those of you who haven't been to our house, yes those are bottles of laundry detergent on shelves in the background of the middle picture. We don't take laundry lightly around here.
Isabella had some grandparental company come visit back in January. She asked that we try not focus on the drool above the horse on her sweater.
Well, I'm a bit behind the times, but wanted to catch up. On December 13th, 2009, Isabella Sue Elson was baptized at North United Methodist Church, where Tara and I were married and I was also baptized. She did a great job being an attentive and quiet parishioner. Isabella really enjoyed the dress mom picked out for her; at least she did after it was all put on her. We followed up the service with a reception at Isabella's grandparents' house. How thoughtful of them to put up a lit tree in her honor! It was a great day!
Here are a few more pics from October. Yes, that is a ladybug costume on my daughter in the top left and yes, Tara may be a little overprotective, as seen in bottom right (who puts a car seat on a couch?). Although, you can't blame her too much after seeing the domino action started by the boy in the pumpkin costume (poor tot in the corner).
Above are pictures of some October family fun, including great-grandmothers, grandparents, aunts & uncles, and numerous cousins. In the top right is a proud grandmother, her daughter and her two granddaughters.
